GRAFPAK-CGM is a comprehensive subroutine library for use with graphicsapplications to produce CGM output files in binary, character, or cleartext encodings. Metafiles from GRAFPAK-CGM conform to the ANSI/ISOstandard, and to CALS specifications.GRAFPAK-CGM is ideal for X-based applications that require export orexchange of graphical information. Unlike pixel graphics models, CGMvector graphics have no inherent resolution limits. With GRAFPAK-CGM,low-resolution screen dumps are a limitation of the past. Applicationdevelopers can also avoid the difficult task of developing andmaintaining a wide range of device drivers.
